Can cats see in the dark?

No, they cannot see in complete darkness. In semi-darkness, they do have the ability to see a little, much better than humans. This is due to the configuration of the cat’s eyes, not to mention their whiskers that helps them to navigate in darkness to semi-darkness conditions. The ears also stand erect and are keen senses in finding their way around in less-than-perfect lighting.
