About Pets – What They Do For Us.

  • About PetsIn today's world, with its constant connectedness and fast-moving pace, pets are more than companions: they're a way for us to shed our hectic day when we come through the front door. It is time to spend some quality time snuggling and playing with our furry little friends who missed us the most during the day. Just waiting for you to pet and feed them.

There are a lot of good reasons to own a pet. Over the past 20 years research has shown that people who own pets tend to have lower cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as less depression. A study about pets and the aging found that elderly people owned pets visited their doctor less often than their pet-free peers. In addition to keeping us happier and healthier, pets provide a variety of learning opportunities for our children. When children are given the responsibility to care for the family pet, they gain valuable lessons in patience, discipline and kindness.

Taking on the responsibilities of owning a pet isn't for everyone. Some families are just too busy to give a cat or dog the exercise and attention they need. Other people may have issues with allergies. But for those of us who have opened up our home to these animals, there’s a world of information on the internet available to pet owners who are looking for answers to specific questions or general information about caring for their four-legged friends.

The Pet’s Parlor is all about pets, and we are dedicated to providing information about cats, dogs, pet health care and lots more. Wondering how much exercise your pug should get? Or how much to feed your German Shepherd? Or perhaps you just want to know about vitamin and mineral supplements for your special pet. You can look for this on our social network. If we don’t have what you are looking for ask us, we will see what we can do.

For many of us, our beloved pets are as much a part of the family as the humans in the house. We love them like we love our children. Remember you can show off your pet by uploading your pet videos or creating a pet album.

Soothsayer I don't know what I'd do without my little Bess. I have seen TV programs where dogs help diabetics, deaf people, blind people and people with cancer. There is no limit to what these wonderful creatures are capable of!

Lucy Smith Our family wouldn't be the same without our pets. They're such an integral part of our household and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I also love that my daughter is being raised with pets. At not even four years old, she is already an avid animal lover.
